Data Analyst and BI Developer

Duties

Perform data engineering and data profiling to improve application performance using Dynatrace, MySQL, Android, Jenkins, Python, Appium, Selenium, Jira, Eclipse, Polaris, Oracle and SQL. Develop processes for data investigation and build complex SQL queries to validate data extraction and transformation. Configure and fine-tune data to improve the performance and security of applications. Develop and maintain automation frameworks, perform impact analysis, and use Jenkins for CI/CD. Similar duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze functional and business requirements for new or existing ETL applications built on Netezza, Teradata, Oracle or other data warehouse appliances
• Provide development and QA estimations based on the technical, functional and business complexity of each requirement
• Plan, build and manage large-scale data warehouse and decision-support systems — data mapping, management, transportation and staging
• Resolve performance issues and shell-script bug fixes to prevent data loss and corruption on projects handling terabytes of data
• Performance tuning and performance-oriented design, data modeling, physical and logical design, and troubleshooting
• Develop UNIX shell scripts to load Oracle, Netezza and Teradata databases, and wrapper scripts
• Automate scripts and workflows using Tidal, Control-M and One Automation schedulers
• Design automated frameworks that remove manual intervention from daily and monthly processes on failure
• Dimensional (star-schema) modeling of the data warehouse using Erwin for business processes, dimensions and measured facts
• Extract data from Oracle, flat files, Teradata and other RDBMS sources into staging and populate data warehouses

Requirements

MS or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, IT, IS or a closely related field and 1 year of experience in Dynatrace, Android, Selenium, Jenkins and SQL.
